Meet Rupert
Rupert is a handsome male standard poodle about 4 years old and 68 pounds. He was entrusted to us by a loving owner who could no longer care for him and knew that we could place him into a wonderful home. Rupert has a classic thick and curly poodle coat that's white in color. Large dark brown eyes, long luxurious ears and a prominent, properly docked tail complete his very appealing look.
Rupert's physical characteristics are typical of those found in a well-bred standard poodle. He is strong, athletic and spirited. He moves with majestic grace and it's fun to watch him chase a ball or play with other dogs. He is sweet, friendly and affectionate and thrives on human attention. But because he hasn't had much training and because of his size and strength, he can be a handful. He will do best with a patient and experienced owner who is willing to work with him on channeling his energy and exuberance. This should go smoothly because, like most standard poodles, Rupert is highly intelligent and eager to please. We think he would be great in an active family with with older children.
