This sweet Samoyed is Matt! He is a handsome ball of fluff who is looking for a loving home. Matt's previous owner recently fell ill, and found themselves unable to provide his care. Matt was very worried about all of the noise and commotion in this new place, but he is starting to settle in and show us his sweet and silly side. Matt previously lived mostly in his backyard, and he may not have ventured out much. He is hoping to find a family that will welcome him inside the home and help him transition to being a member of the family. He seems pretty under socialized, and is nervous in new situations and with new people. Matt is looking for an experienced dog owner that can take time to slowly introduce him to new people, places, and things. And someone that can offer daily training opportunities to help him continue to build his confidence. Matt needs a patient family that understands he will take time to get comfortable. But once acclimated he might try to sit on your lap to show his affection. Matt gets along great with other dogs, and he loves to play with them! Matt's adopter must have another friendly and social dog at home for him to play with - this confident friend will also help show him the ropes and help him feel comfortable. Life in an apartment or condo is too busy for Matt, so he is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard where he can relax and enjoy some quiet time. Adoption hours: Wednesday – Sunday, Noon – 6pm. We begin accepting applications at 9am each adoption day, and will help people in the order of their arrival (beginning at Noon). We ask that all household members - including any resident dog(s) - be here to meet an animal prior to adoption. We are unable to place animals on hold or take deposits for animals.
