Jackie Japanese Bobtail Eureka, CA

Jackie came to us with one 6 week old kitten. She was very thin and her fur rough and unkempt. Since her kitten was weaned, we worked to restore her health and she is now absolutely gorgeous. Jackie is shy and waits to judge you before approaching and relaxing. We feel this is the result of the experiences that led her to our care, but she is blossoming as she feels safe and protected in her foster home. She comes to you when beckoned, stretches, reaches for your hand for some head scratches, then slowly rolls over to her side for more attention. Like most Japanese bobtails, Jackie is very, very talkative. She has a cute little set of grunts, chirps, mews, and throaty noises. Jackie calls for you when she cannot find you. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want. Jackie is not overfond of cat carriers, where she enters head-first. A top loading carrier is recommended She has been spayed, is up to date on shots, been microchipped and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. An application, landlord approval if renting, safety homecheck, and an adoption fee are required. We also require her to be indoor only.
