Meet Arcadia

Florence is NOT a name we are going to use anytime soon here at Saving Grace in North Carolina. So we went with Arcadia to christen a sweet sweet momma dog who arrived with her babies just as that horrid storm was moving in. Lucky might have been another good name, but Arcadia fits as it is a bit exotic as is this lovely young lady. Arcadia appears to be a mix between a lab, American Staffordshire Terrier and something else that we cannot quite put out finger on that creates a truly exotic looking ,beautiful piece of loveliness. She is about 2 to 3 years old and weighs about 50 lbs full grown. Arcadia likely has not lived a cushy live to date. She is mostly white but has super cool markings of gray as well as black around the face. With time, love and home care this girl will have a coat ALL of the neighborhood dogs are gonna covet without question. We would also be remiss if we did not tell you the most important thing about this lady….she IS a hugger. Yes, the kind that stands up on her back legs and wraps her paws around your waist and just leans in the for the good stuff! Try to resist dem apples! Arcadia has been amenable to sharing space with other dogs rather easily but the reality is that she is completely focused on people and would therefore be entirely fine to live in a home solo but could also live among another dog as well. Without question, Arcadia has let us know she is DONE with having puppies, DONE with living hard and READY to find her own safe space to land that will offer regular meals, treats galore, regular walks and most importantly the spoiling that she has waited all of her life to get and more assuredly deserves!

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

Our Adoption Form can be completed online https://savinggracenc.org/how-to-adopt/. Please visit our new website https://savinggracenc.org

An Adoption Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home.

Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes.

If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit https://savinggracenc.org/giving/

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
