Palmer American Shorthair & Tabby Mix Hoboken, NJ

Palmer is a very sweet cat who has had a tough year. At the end of last year, the 'man of the house' decided he didn't want a cat anymore and threw him outside. He would come back to the door every day trying to come inside to his family. The man would spray him with a hose and scare him away but Palmer still came back. So loyal and just wanting to come back to his family. It wasn't the best area so it was a risk with him being outside at all, let alone full time. A neighbor fed him for a few months. This same neighbor finally got tired of seeing this and contacted us.
Palmer was rescued and has been with an amazing foster in Livingston NJ. She has been so wonderful and she & Palmer have really established a good relationship over the past few weeks. Palmer was taken to the vet and is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever home. He is a bit lonely & bored in her bathroom but she cannot mix him with her cats unfortunately. He is ready for his Forever Home!
Palmer has lived happily with a dog before. He is not aggressive so we are hopeful he would get along with other cats too. He would also be great as a solo pet. He doesn't need a lot, just someone who understands cats, and can give him some love and patience.
Palmer loves window sills, sun beams, and he loves head scratches and pets from his foster mommy and foster family. He even likes belly rubs! He is a medium sized boy and a total sweetheart.
