Delilah Shepherd Mix Flagstaff, AZ

Hey there, I'm Delilah! I'm a medium size (40 pounds) shepard mix, about 2 years old. I get along well with the dog and cats in my foster home, and think my foster parents are the best! I'm pretty laid back most of the time and look forward to snuggling up on the couch. I love rolling in the lawn, chewing on bones, and doing food puzzles.

I'm house trained, crate trained, know how to sit, and walk well on a leash. I jump into the car on my own and wait to exit until I get the release cue. My recall is very good and we're working on making it even better. My foster mom thinks I could make a great off leash hiking dog with a little more training. I've made it to the top of Mount Elden and Humphreys Peak so far and loved every minute of it!

I'm a little skeptical of new people, but once I have some time to take it all in I realize that everything is just fine (and I might even get some free petting)! I've been civil with other dogs on the trail, and have made some new dog friends that are fun to play with. I'm still a little uncertain how I feel about kids (are they tiny people? Do they always ride scooters or rollerblades?). With some more time experiencing pet life my foster mom thinks I will handle new situations like a pro.
