Horik Persian & Exotic Shorthair Mix Troy, MI

Hi guys! My name is Horik. I am a handsome kitty, very unique. I am an exotic shorthaired persian cat in need of a home and someone to love for life. I adore other kitties, especially my best girlfriend Gunnhild, who was recently adopted. We had hoped to find a home together. I was part of a large abandonment case in the city of Warren, where 40+ cats just like me were dumped in three different locations around the city. It was a traumatic experience, but I'm doing well now. I love people, attention and other cats. I love to be petted, eagerly reaching up to meet your hand with my head. You will often find me purring, affectionately head butting and linking tails with my Gunnhild. I would love a home where I will be groomed and brushed, petted and loved. I am a great cat, so just give me a chance! Adoption fee: $60. Adopt a pair: $90. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

Adoption event dates for 2018: November 3, November 17, December 1 and December 15.

Saturday, November 10: Adoption event at Magoo's Pet Outlet, 3050 Union Lake Rd, in Commerce Township. From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 2nd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2018: November 10 and December 8.

Saturday, November 24: Adoption event at PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd., Bloomfield Hills. From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 4th Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2018: November 24. NO event in December 2018.

Friday, November 30: Family-friendly Charlee Jack Sign-making Fundraiser event at 1871 Woodslee Dr. in Troy. From 6 to 9 p.m., participants will use stencils and paint to create their own custom wood sign. Get the details, reserve your spot, choose your design and pre-order your desired project here by Nov. 14, then all your the supplies will be ready and waiting for you at the event. Paws for Life receives 20% of the proceeds.

Sunday, December 2: Quarters and Raffles Holiday Fundraiser at American Croatian Club, 32851 Ryan Rd, Warren. From 1 to 5 p.m., get your quarters ready and raise a paddle to win amazing items, from gift certificates to dog and cat supplies, and everything in between. Enjoy the silent auction, cash bar, lunch, raffles and shop the vendor area. Great opportunity to wrap up the holiday shopping.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
