Meet Mavis
Meet our sweet Mavis!
This girl is a lab mix estimated around 3 months old. She loves to play with other puppies but needs redirection because she can play a little rough at times. She's currently working on potty training in her foster home. She is not a fan of being in a crate but settles down quickly. As most puppies, she has a lot of energy and will need an active family that will train her.
Her history is unknown since she came to a high kill shelter as a stray but she was found with her entire back and head dyed blue. It looks like the dye was dumped on her instead of carefully done like some groomers do for clients, so our fear is she was going to be used as a bait dog. People have started coloring puppies and kittens then they throw them in a dog fighting ring and they bet on what "color" will last the longest.
We obviously don't know Mavis' full story like many of our dogs, but we hope to find her the best home for her that will love her forever!
