Meet Kandi
Kandi is a petite, 2 year old great dane girl that we pulled out of the Montgomery shelter, very underweight. She is a very energetic dane girl, constantly playing.
Her foster momma writes: "Kandi is a playful dog and sniffed out the toys, (and some clean laundry out a basket) to play with!
We think she was an outside dog. When we first got her she seemed to not have any idea how to be in a house, or how to use steps lol. She tolerates a bath in our walk-in shower well and crates very well now.”
Kandi is a sweet dog, but she’s got a lot of playful energy and can be annoying to an older, or senior, dog. Kandi is living with dogs, big and small, as well as many cats and all kinds of farm animals. She is good around them all. She just has a ton of energy and if her older foster siblings don’t want to play, she doesn’t know when to stop. She’s quickly learned about boundaries with other dogs.
Kandi is excellent with humans. She is living with young triplet girls and is affectionate and knows to be on good behavior with them.
Kandi needs an active and dane-savvy person or family that is going to be able to spend time with her daily to expend her boundless energy. She does listen, and she really longs to please you, she just needs to release her energy. She can play really hard with her canine siblings over some things and then the next minute be sleeping with cats and running with farm animals.
If you're looking for a pocket-sized dane girl, she's an excellent choice, as she weighs in at only about 105 lbs.
