Meet Winnie

My stories are getting sadder and sadder. My new family hasn't come to get me yet.....

DANE OF THE DAY

You know when your mum says "if you keep making that face....it will be stuck that way"

Welllll......

When I was in my younger days I was doing my makeup for Halloween night. I wanted to look like a ghost so that's what I did.

Now look what happened!!

My name is Winifred. Some people call me Winnie. I have an old school name because I'm an old school gal with an old school look. I enjoy walks, bone chewing, jumping like a jelly bean when I'm excited, doing zoomies with my pal Leo, reading - oh I mean when you read and I lay beside you, and TALKING!

I love to tell stories. Very sad ones. The sadder the better. My foster mom always laughs at them for some reason, she is deranged - not right in the head - not the sharpest claw on the paw, if you know what I mean!

I am enjoying my new life with my foster sister Penny who is also a Great Dane......Leo my Shepard/Lab brother from another mother partner in crime........Sid my fat cat sleeping buddy......AND Godzilla the human/cat (don't tell him I said this but he's crazy like his mom) We all get really good treats. I know the good stuff is coming when Godzilla is doing circles around mom's legs and talking real big. So I have to tell my sad story while doing my jumping jelly bean tricks. The sad stories are in the past now though......we ALL get the cheese, and I don't even mind when the cats get theirs.

When I first got here I didn't know the lay of the land so we had a couple squables about food and bones but we have all that figured out now. My mom says I play like a MMA fighter..... just a thought, I think that stands for Miraculous Magnificent & Amazing.....she is so sweet!

I like all people. Big and small! I love to sleep with you being sure to touch you so you are comforted by my presence. I go in the kennel real nice but I REALLY complain when I realize I'm in there for the duration. How can I comfort you if I'm locked in a cage?

In my estimated 6 years of life I've learned a few things......
*"Sitting" is overrated!
*Butt scratches are the BEST!
*Everyone likes a sad story!
*Hanging your head out the truck window letting your jowls fly is a blast!
*Don't look in the mirror if you have a ghost face and you scare easily!
*AND everything is better with yogurt...even the pills my mom thinks she is sneaking into my food!

I have some freeloading worms in my heart that I'm taking medicine for. The yogurt may not help kill the worms but it REALLY helps me think it's ALL better!

So....I like it here but I have made a vow to find my one true butt scratcher. I need a good listener BUT not a crazy one preferably. And most important......you can't be a scaredy cat or have a bad heart cause when you wake up in the middle of the night and see my face you could be startled into thinking a ghost doggie is visiting.
