Howdy, my name is Salt. I'm a handsome 7-year-old beefcake looking for an adopter or foster who is able to give me tons of one-on-one attention. I am an incredible cat with A LOT of personality. I am fully aware that I am king and I demand to be treated like one. I love my humans, but often times my brand of love is very intense and I do not want to share that attention with others. I am looking for a home that will be patient and understanding with me, give me lots of love, but also space when I need it. I would do best in a home with minimal activity and no children, since having new people over frequently makes me uneasy and stressed, so a calmer environment would be best. Adoption event dates for 2018: August 25, September 22 and October 27. NO events in November and December 2018.

Saturday, September 8: Adoption event at Magoo's Pet Outlet, 3050 Union Lake Rd, in Commerce Township. From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 2nd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2018: September 8, October 13, November 10 and December 8.

Saturday, September 15: Adoption event at Petco, 29335 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills (just south of 13 Mile Rd). From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 1st and 3rd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2018: September 15, October 6, October 20, November 3, November 17, December 1 and December 15.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
