Meet EVA

Good day! I am Eva. Dolly’s gave me that name after I was scheduled to die the very day they saved me. It means “life” or “living one”. It’s hard to believe I wasn’t claimed at the shelter because I am house trained and kennel trained. My foster mom says I’d probably do fine if allowed to roam freely because I don’t get into anything. I am fostered with a very playful Husky mix and two teeny tiny Chihuahuas. We get along pretty well. Sometimes I get territorial about my space, mostly when I’m napping, but am getting better with this. Sometimes young children might not understand my need for personal space, so my foster mom thinks I would be better off with children at least 8-10 or so. I am otherwise very friendly and love meeting people. I enjoy walks and get excited when my foster mom gets the leash out. I might start out wanting to pull ahead, but I get the idea and pretty quickly and will walk by your side. I enjoy sunning myself outdoors, but a fenced yard is not a must. I also really like squeaky toys. But my most favorite thing would be my own special human to cuddle with.

Eva is a Rat Terrier, weighs 10 lbs and is estimated at 8-10 yrs old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $200 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records. If you are a renter, you must provide landlord contact information. For adoption guidelines and to submit an application, please go to this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will receive a reply from dollyslegacyadoptions@gmail.com within a few days of application submission, please make sure to check your spam folder if you do not see a reply within a week. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. If you have any questions please email dollyslegacyadoptions@gmail.com .
