Meet Penelope

Penelope had a rough start and has proven that she is a survivor! After being found pregnant in deplorable hoarding conditions, Penny was rescued and received the much needed care to insure that she and her puppies survived. Luckily she was able to successfully deliver her litter and, with some help, everyone is now physically well. Since that time, Penelope has started the arduous process of learning to trust. She has already made some major progress and the folks here at MLAR are working building the skills that will make her an greater companion. She loves to hop and play, especially with another dog. She takes treats politely and also enjoys relaxing and watching the scene in front of her. Right now she is still pretty shy. Penny needs and experienced someone that understands her trust issues and is willing to go forward with her slowly. She would also do really well with another dog that can show the ropes of 'dogging' in the human world. Can you show Penelope the better side of life? If so, complete the application and meet this gorgeous sweetheart of a girl!!
If you are interested in meeting any of our adoptable dogs, please fill out an application at http://www.mlar.org/adopt/adoption-process

E-mails regarding adoption are not considered an application.

Out-of-state applicants will not be considered, unless there are special circumstances. Main Line Animal Rescue does local adoptions to families with excellent vet references and an installed fenced yard. You must have a secure traditional fence OR a professionally installed underground electric fenced area in which a dog can safely play without getting out). The fence must be securely attached to your house, dog pens, dog runs and a tie outs are not approved.
