Skipper Labrador Retriever & Beagle Mix St. Catharines, ON

SKIPPER - Male, Lab/Beagle mix, 6 yrs, 35 lbs.

From Skipper's rescuer: "Skipper has been searching for a home for a long time. He's a beautiful dark chocolate boy. He’s a great dog but very shy (although much better than he was) and will take a little time to warm up. He is good with other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog. His buddy is my neighbor’s dog London, who is about his size. He has never bothered chasing the barn cats. He was going to be euthanized at a shelter so I agreed to take him in."

From Skipper's foster mom: "So far Skipper is a pretty independent dude. He loves the great outdoors & seems to be very respectful of other dogs. He’s not interested in invading anyone’s space. He does need work on his leash manners. He is eating well & is quiet as a mouse. He is house trained and crate trained. Someone with a laid back lifestyle & patience is on his wish list."
Update on Skipper: "Skipper has been with us a week now and his personality is really shining through! He's grown very comfortable with us and he is a bundle of fun! He can play for hours and smiles every time I say his name. His leash manners are improving very much! He's going to make a lucky family very happy."
