Cassie Schnauzer Mix Flower Mound, TX

Cassie is a 13 year old, 13 lb Schnauzer mix. Thank goodness one of our wonderful volunteers found her at a local shelter because the chances of her getting adopted from the shelter were very slim. In addition to her senior age, Cassie is a special needs dog as she is missing her front right leg. We don't know how or when that happened. Cassie is a happy girl who doesn't let her disability get her down. She loves going for short walks or simply finding a sunny spot in the backyard to experience the sights and smells of the outside world. She likes being held, but doesn't demand it and is content to nap by her person's feet. She has excellent indoor manners and mostly house trained, as long as she is let out often. She gets along with the other dogs and cats in her foster home, but can easily be an only dog. Cassie doesn't live with kids, but we think she would be ok as long as they are gentle with her and understand that she will not be a playful type of dog. Cassie needs a peaceful home in which she can live out the rest of her life with someone who will give her as much love as she gives them.
