As we take time to give thanks, consider adding adorable me to your family. You may be wondering why I am still available for adoption. My special need is that I currently prefer using puppy or medical pads now and then instead of my litter boxes. I do however always use my litter box when I am enjoying the enclosed patio in my foster home.

Hi, I am mellow Boogie, an 8-year-old, red Exotic Shorthair who had been let down by people in my past. I am quick to purr. I have thick short fur, a round, flat face, and golden-eyes which match the color of my fur so perfectly. I am so handsome! I am happy, and love all the attention and affection I can get, especially if it includes chin and tummy rubs. I am talkative when I want your attention, playful with feather toys, balls or string. I will cry like a baby when confined to a carrier. I am friendly once I get to know and trust you. I am a lap cat and enjoy sleeping in bed with my family. You will find me sacked out in a comfy, cool spot.

I want a quiet and loving, forever home with a patient, cat savvy human who has previous experience caring for Exotic Shorthair and Persian cats as I require regular eye/face/ear cleaning and daily brushing. Initially, I surprised my foster dad today by jumping into his lap while he was reading the paper, and now I sit in his lap most days. I would love a forever home where someone is home most of the time. I am OK as the only cat in the home. I am good with passive female cats. I lived with two small "cat chasing" dogs who scared me and a gentle puppy who I played with in my 2nd home.

My story . . . mom adopted me from a senior who was dropping me off at a local shelter. The young child in my 2nd home was too allergic for me to remain in the home. Now I am the picture of cuteness with my big eyes and paws that move back and forth during belly rubs, and a round, flat face. I love the brushing, except around my feet and legs. I had dental work on June 1st. My one cracked tooth was removed, and the rest were cleaned. I had my final vet wellness check on Dec 7-- I am a healthy adult. Kids must be teenagers or older. My wish is a loving, quiet, indoor-only home of my own.
