Emmy Border Collie Mix Waxhaw, NC

Meet Emmy, a 1 year old Border Collie mix. Emmy is a wonderful companion dog. She loves nothing more than to be by you side keeping you company. She is great in the car and loves to go on any adventure. She is great on the leash and is always up for a walk or hike! She is house trained and knows some basic commands like “sit” and “down.” She is very friiendly with people and
dogs but can be a little hesitant when first meeting new friends. She loves children but does have the Border Collie instinct to herd so children ages 7 and up are best for her. She is best suited in a home with no cats. She would love an active family to keep her busy. She will need a backyard with a structural fence to run and play in. Emmy came into our rescue pregnant after being abandoned at an area shelter. We are currently accepting applications on Emmy and potential applicants will be able to meet her. Since, she is still tending to her puppies she will not be able to go to a new home till after 4/25/18. She currently weighs 35lbs and will weigh around 40lbs.
