Hi my name is Calvin! I’m a pretty special pup. You’ll notice right off the bat that I don’t have a tongue, but don’t think I let that stop me from enjoying treats or giving kisses! When the MUR team found me I wasn't eating much or being looked after. Now I'm doing much better and am ready to find a loving home!

I’m a sweet, silly, friendly guy and I love to play and explore! My favourite game is tug-o-war and I could wrestle with other dogs for hours. I generally get along great with other dogs, but tend to be very excited upon first meeting and not all the dogs I've met have liked that. I'll need my new family to continue working with me on my excitement when I see other dogs on walks - I just want to go say hi and am still learning that isn't always allowed! After playtime or a walk, I like to find a cool place to nap. Give me belly rubs and I’ll be the happiest dog in the world!

I’m fully house trained and sleep in a crate at night. I know quite a few commands already like sit, leave it, and go to your room. I prefer to eat my food without any other puppy noses getting in the way, as I am still getting used to not having to compete to get enough to eat. I haven’t been around children much since coming into care, so I'd need to meet any before coming home with you. I get a bit too excited around cats and am not very good about taking a hint when kitties show they want to be left alone, so I'd do best in a home without cats. Without a tongue, I need a little extra help staying clean, just a bath and a chin wipe here or there! My lack of tongue has also led to dehydration on some occasions, so my people have to make sure I'm drinking enough. My fosters have been doing this by adding water to my food!
