Meet MADDY - Adopted!
Hi All! Maddy here in cold windy Wyoming. Coming from California, I’m not sure I like this cold! I know…I know… I’m a Malamute and am supposed to love this weather but I think the little bit of me that isn’t Mal must have been a short haired lap dog! I love being inside with my foster family and dream about cuddling with them on the sofa but until I lose some more weight, getting up there is a bit difficult.
I’m not sure what I did to end up in a shelter in California. I had spent 9 years in what I thought was a loving home just to end up behind bars! I was very sad and scared. When I was about to give up, these great people broke me out and put me on a plane headed to rescue with Moonsong. How many other rescue dogs get to fly to freedom! New state…new family…new life! They call my foster family’s place ‘Camp Casper’. I guess this is the place we over weight dogs go to get into shape. So far, I’ve lost 14 pounds but still have a ways to go. Because of my weight, I sometimes snore pretty loud but as my weight decreases, so does my snoring.
I am a good girl - my foster mom is always telling me that. I am loving, easy going, get along well with other dogs, house trained (really really house trained), UTD on shots and spayed. Other than being overweight, I am in really great health. All I really want is a fur-ever home with a family and maybe some other four legged kids. Could that be with you?
