Meet Skipper
Say hello to Skipper. This chubby little bear is a Pekingese who is eleven years young. His original owner purchased him as a puppy and gave him up nine years later when they didn’t “have time” for him any more. The elderly lady who cared for Skipper the past two years is unable to do so any longer, so he’s with us until he finds a new retirement home.
Skipper is a highly affectionate dog who wants someone to follow around and love. He likes to stay at your feet, and he would be very sad if his humans left him home alone all day. Skipper would be a wonderful companion for a senior citizen, or really anyone who wants a quiet, devoted little shadow. Skipper is wonderful most of the time but he has moments where he can be grumpy when he doesn’t get his way. Skipper needs someone who understands his breed and won’t let him have the upper hand. Skipper is very protective of his people (can you spell jealous?) and would probably do best as an only dog. He may do okay with one or two other small, mellow/submissive dogs.
Skipper is currently on all of his vetting and he is in good health for his age. He recently had his teeth cleaned and the vet said they are in great shape for his age. Skipper does not have a tail anymore. It had to be amputated because he constantly chewed it due to itching from skin allergies. That problem is solved now, and his new nubby rear end just adds to his charm.

Skipper is fully vetted -- neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $200 (cash only, please). You can apply to adopt by submitting an application at www.sohfga.com. We hold adoptions at Petco in Snellville from 12-4 PM every Saturday. You must have an *approved* adoption application on file in order to be considered for this particular pet. Not every foster is present on every adoption day, so if you want to meet this one, be sure and contact us!
