Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
NGPR does not adopt dogs to homes with children under 6 years old.
Previous dog experience is required, preferably large breed.

Female Great Pyrenees rarely cohabitate with other females successfully. Our goal is for each adoption to be a permanent placement, therefore homes that already have a female dog are not eligible to adopt a female Pyr.

My name is Wyn and I am a very sweet girl who is thought to be a Pyr/Anatolian Shepard mix. I LOVE cats. There are no children in my foster home, but I love to meet and greet kids when I’m out and about. I walk pretty well on a leash. I’m housebroken and if you leave me home, as long as I have a comfy dog bed, I will be there waiting when you get back. I love attention and affection, and will sit for hours to be brushed or petted. I have been in rescue since I was a very young pup due to needing hip surgery, so am well socialized. I now have the all-clear from my doctor and thanks to NGPR, I can run like the 'Wynd"! I’m fostered in CT with Horton (who is also available for adoption), and get along quite well with him, as well as the other dogs in my foster home. It is time for me to move along and find my own furever home...will that be with you?
