Meet Kate
UPDATE 3/14/19: Kate's listing is being updated to "Adoption Pending" at long last.
UPDATE 9/15/18: Because of Kate's mobility issues, we have made the decision to limit her adoption distance to within 4 hours of St. Louis MO. Kate continues to do well, and actually has lost another pound, so she is even able to run for short distances. She is probably very close to an ideal weight for her needs.
UPDATE 6:25/18: Kate is so pleased that she has been able to whittle her weight down to 28.2#, a very good weight for her and she's obviously feeling good about it. She got a new collar to go with her new figure as the old one was just too loose! She's also had a flu shot and has been officially released by our vet as completely ready to go to a new forever home.
***********************************************************************************
Kate is a senior girlie, actual age unknown but estimated at around age 9-10, and who is probably one of the sweetest corgis we have met. She came into rescue with some extra pounds and, while she has about 3-4 to go, she will be great with a forever family who is dedicated to helping her lose those last few extras and keep her on the straight and narrow. Kate does have some special needs as she has some hip and mobility issues, but her personality more than makes up for any issues she has to deal with.
Kate is not fond of loud noises, vacuum cleaners, pots& pans, fireworks, etc; prefers carpet or runners- has some difficulty walking on tile, wood, vinyl/linolium. Kate adores people, adults, teen but kids overwhelm her a bit. She likes other dogs and would probably welcome an housemate who would welcome a buddy.
Kate is fully vetted, spayed, has had all vaccines and a dental. Adoption applications are available for download on the Faery Tails website at this link: http://www.corgirescuestlouis.org/adopt/
