My name is Hero! My Foster Mom says it’s because I save everyone from frowns, you can’t help but smile around me! I am a loyal pup that loves giving gentle leg hugs, cuddling on the couch, and staying close to my human. Chewy’s Hope found me a year ago in a shelter, covered in scratches, dirt, and bugs. A bad human left me outside and did not want to take care of me, and I didn’t know why. I love everyone. I had only one day left, and I had almost given up, but as soon as they took me home I was all wags and wiggles!
I have been with my Foster Mom for a year, and love playing with the other dogs, cats, and tiny humans. The baby humans and baby kittens are fragile, so I am extra gentle with them. I even let them climb all over me and sleep on me. It makes me so happy! I love cuddling with them and NEVER get aggressive (even when the kittens attack my nose). I love everyone!
I am crate trained, leash trained, potty trained, and know how to sit. Cheese is my favorite treat EVER. I will do anything for cheese!! CHEESE!! I am still young, so I do like to chew on shoes a little, but my Foster Mom says I have gotten a lot better over the last few months, and now I mostly leave them alone. I’m trying so hard to be a good boy! I like to run around outside, chase squirrels, play with other dogs, and take naps in the sunlight, but mostly only if my human is outside. I gotta stay close to my human, you know, in case they want to pet me some more!
People say I look like a small pit bull, but the rescue tested me and found a crazy combo in my DNA. I am 25% Boxer, 25% Staffordshire Terrier, and 50% Chihuahua! I guess that’s why I bark sometimes when people come to the door, because new people means new friends, and new friends means more belly rubs. I want to love everyone!
I don’t like to lick people, but nuzzling is my FAVORITE and I am always up for a cuddle! I’m pretty sure I’m a lap dog, but I am just as happy watching tv or reading a book with my human. Everyone says I am the sweetest dog they have ever met, but I am just happy to see my humans smile. I can’t wait to curl up with you and show you how much I love you.
