6 Working Cats Domestic Long Hair & Domestic Short Hair Mix Briarcliff Manor, NY

We have several "working cats" available for adoption! These are cats who are not cut out to be indoor cats living in a home, but who have a valuable service to provide farms and a variety of businesses in the form of pest control. These cats will keep rodents and vermin away with their presence; in return, they just need a safe, warm shelter to use as their home base, food and water, and maybe a treat now and then! While all of them need to be able to roam free, some are friendlier than others and would like some human interaction (William for sure!); others will be happy to just do their cat stuff and be on their way; and some are in between. They've all lived together in our cattery, so they could be adopted in pairs or groups. All are healthy, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. Good fits for these cats include: farms, barns, nurseries, greenhouses, warehouses, construction companies, breweries, police stations -- we're open to lots of situations, so if you have a residence or business that you think would benefit from having a cat on duty, please come see us, call Liz at (914) 941-2896 x26, or e-mail shelter@spca914.org. No appointment is necessary to come in and meet/adopt an animal unless noted differently above. You may also fill out an Application when you get here. We do same day adoptions. Please note, we do NOT hold animals, nor do we accept deposits in advance. Even if you have discussed coming in to meet an animal or have an approved Application with us this does not necessarily guarantee you will get that particular puppy or dog. All Cats and Kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age appropriate) and come with a free 7 day Veterinarian check from a participating Vet!

Our hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday's 1pm-4pm. Fees are as follows: A kitten 1 year and under is $150, 2 Kittens are $275, Adult cats over 1 year are $75 - $150 and Lonely Hearts Club Members/Seniors are $65.
