Meet Jacob

Sweet gentleman Jacob - this handsome little guy has melted our hearts. Come meet him and let him melt yours!

Found solo on the streets of Brooklyn, Jacob was the first of his litter to be discovered and brought indoors. A gentle and old soul, Jacob's first favorite activity was to curl up on the couch for a snuggle-nap next to the grande-dame feline of the house, 23-year old Loofie. But since his littermate Rosie was discovered and brought indoors, he's become more playful.

He has a great time playing games of tag, king/queen of the scratching post, and having impromptu wrestling matches with Rosie, but he equally enjoys finding a cozy nook or perch where he can take some me time and simply watch the action unfold around him.

A naturally cautious fellow, we've watched his confidence grow daily. He's now initiating petting sessions and turns to putty in his fosters' hands. He absolutely loves a chin scratch. In fact, he purrs so loudly you can hear it in a neighboring room. Jacob will flop over, give you his belly, head-bump, face-kiss, make air biscuits, and snuggle in for the long haul, no sweat!

Jacob would likely do fine as a solo cat, however a home with a cat-buddy might be the best match for him. His best people match would be with those willing to give him time to settle into his new space on his own terms and schedule. Taking a shy cat into your home is so rewarding - it's such a joy to watch them blossom and grow as they continue to learn how safe and loved they are. A very bonding experience.

Jacob is neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV (neg/neg), de-flead, de-wormed, and microchipped. Now all he needs is his forever home! If you'd like to meet this sweetheart, please send an e-mail and request an adoption application.

The American Street Cat, Inc. (TASC) is a non-profit organization. Adoption fees apply so that we can continue to help other strays in need.
