Hi, my name is Melanie! I am an older gal, approximately 10 years old. I came here when my owner could no longer care for me. I have been here since late August 2017 looking for my home! I hope to be adopted very soon! I am such a well mannered lady, and I really want that special someone to come whisk me away. I am very healthy and love sitting in the sunshine spots on the floor looking out the window waiting for my family.

I am a nice girl, but I like things my way and might swat at you (claws in) when I'm done being petted. I came from an adult-only household and am seeking the same in the future (no kids under 10). I have been an indoor only kitty. I love to play with toys, and you will hear me meowing to announce my successful capture of a catnip mouse toy! I have been in a room with other cats (in cat condos) for awhile now, and staff thinks I will coexist peacefully in a household with other cats, and will rule the roost when it comes to cat friendly dogs.

The shelter staff sent me to the vet and they discovered I had a very infected uterus and a huge cyst as well (kiwi sized) that was pressing on my bladder. Now that I'm spayed and the cyst is gone, I am feeling so much better. The cyst definitely won't grow back, and I am a healthy girl too.
