Although unknown for certain, it appears Jasmine lived the life of a puppy mill momma. A few years ago a couple rescued her from that life and gave her a home with security. Unfortunately due to their own health problems they could no longer care for Jasmine. She is now in a foster home with JCCARE in the Chicago land area of Illinois.
Personality : Jasmine is a sweet natured dog but is emotionally scared. She is extremely timid and shy. She does not like noise and at time seems fearful of everyday life. She adjusts to women but will only tolerate men from a distance. She can be loving to a woman once she has gained trust.
The Perfect Home : quiet, calm, a daily routine is what jasmine needs. A home where she can be cared for and loved on Jasmines terms. She will need a secure fenced yard and someone able to watch her when she is in it. Her main caretaker must be a woman and if she shares a house with a man he must understand that she will probably never trust him or cuddle with him. Jasmine wouldn't mind sharing a home with other small non energetic dog(s) that are well adjusted and secure.
Special considerations :
due to Jasmine personality she can only be adopted locally, within 100 miles of Chicago IL.
