Meet Nola

Nola (also known is Cheyanne) is currently living in a foster home. If interested in meeting her, please submit an application and we'll then link you up with her foster family.

If you are looking for a chill companion who still has some fun loving energy and ton of love to give, Nola could be your gal. She's a tripod who hails from Alabama and lost her leg to a gunshot wound.

Don't let the missing leg fool you though. Nola is so full of energy she sometimes just cannot contain it. When excited, her happy tap dance is a sight to behold. She really would prefer to run when going out for walks, and every person she meets is her new best friend.

She is not a guard dog. There is no barking at strangers walking in or even when other dogs are making a ruckus outside. She is house trained, although she doesn't vocalize when she needs to go. She will just hold it until time to go out. She does have a bark, but reserves it for when encountering another dog on a walk.

With some work to be more polite with her dog leash introductions, she does fine with some other pooches though may thrive most as the only canine kiddo in her forever home. When not on the leash, Nola is very laid back. All she wants to do is be near you, preferably snuggled up on the couch.

She will happily keep your yard and home completely rodent, bunny and cat free. Unfortunately this does make homes with cats or other small animals a poor option for her. She is fascinated by these small furry things and is quite sure they require more investigation. What flavor is that one?

She's much less interested in toys. She doesn't really chew on anything and is not at all destructive. She is crate trained, but would happily sleep on the bed with you and just chill on the couch while you're out.

This peach is about 3-4 years old, spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchippd. Her adoption fee is $300 and our application can be accessed here: http://www.onetail.org/adoption/apply/
