Meet Tonka and Ginny

Imagine being a truck driver and discovering a tiny kitten hiding in the under-carriage of your vehicle! Luckily for this little guy, he had hitched a ride with a very special man who brought him into STAF, and he was named Tonka for the classic toy truck. Ginny also debuted at the shelter as a kitten and was fostered in the home of a wonderful volunteer, who named this little girl and the other kittens in her care that year after characters in Harry Potter (we dubbed them the Hairy Potters). Tonka and Ginny bonded when they were adopted together to a loving family who, because they were moving and unable to keep them, returned them to the shelter with deep regrets.

Youthfulness abounds in these two spirited cats, who alternate bursts of high energy with periods of snuggly affection. A round-faced black and white kitty with an adorable pink nose and black footpads, Ginny is a super duper cuddle-bug most of the time. But watch out! When she gets the evening crazies she could leap tall buildings in a single bound! Any available lap will do for Tonka, a soft gray-beige marbled tabby, yet a teaser really winds him up. This dynamic duo would make an outstanding pair of family pets. If kitties that curl up together and groom one another warm your heart, please run to STAF to meet Tonka and Ginny during STAF’s cat adoption hours.
