Tumbler sure looks like a tough guy, right? But like most tough guys, he's really quite a softie. This is a sweet boy who is quietly wondering, with all of his great qualities, why he hasn't yet been adopted. Tumbler was originally surrendered for adoption with his canine sister. She has since found a forever home while Tumbler waits. And waits. He's trying to stay tough. Stiff upper lip and all that. But it's hard when you're a dog with so much love to give and no one seems to be paying attention.
Handsome, playful, funny, affectionate, loyal. It's a great list of attributes. And every one can be used to describe Tumbler. This well trained boy was surrendered by a family that didn't have the time for him. A typical Boxer, he is a youthful, fun loving guy. He loves to play and zoom around at top speed. You would never guess that is almost 8 years old! He loves giving kisses too and, if he's allowed, will climb into your lap for some full-on snuggling. Says his foster mom "He loves his people and will forever be that dog that greets you at the door, super happy that you're home. He loves to snuggle and give big wet kisses."
Tumbler knows basic obedience, responds very well to commands and walks reasonably well on leash. Tumbler loves to drink from the hose but he's not a big fan of swimming. He prefers to just dance around the pool's edge and act like he wants to leap in but really he doesn't. Ha ha! He's also not a big fan of cats. This is an easy going guy who likes kids and would be a fantastic family dog.
If you think you can make things go right for him and give him the terrific home he deserves, please apply to adopt. You can read about HART's screening process and download an adoption application to submit from the website: http://www.hartdogrescue.ca/adopt
An adoption donation of $350 applies for Tumbler and a fenced yard is required. He is up to date with vaccines, neutered, heartworm tested negative and on prevention, microchipped and in great health. He is almost 8 years old (DOB is September 2009) and he weighs 75 lbs.
Pet listings are updated daily. Unless it says otherwise at the top of this bio, this dog is still available for adoption.
