2/19/2018: Flash is a fun and friendly Pit Bull mix. He's a year old and a nice size at 45 lbs. Flash loves people. He'd be a great companion for someone looking for a fairly active companion. He's pretty playful, but he is also great about just hanging out with a chew toy and relaxing. Flash is good with kids, but we wouldn't want to place him in a home with really young kids due to his energy. He currently lives in a foster home with older kids. He does need a home without cats. He is house trained and crate trained.
Flash is choosy about his doggy friends. He's lived in a foster home with dogs and got along with some but not all. He currently is in a foster home without other dogs and that may be the best situation for him. If you have a dog, you could make an appointment to bring your dog in to meet Flash to see if they could be good buddies.
Flash has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for heartworms. He originally came to us sick with parvo virus and his owner could not afford to care for him. He’s now fully recovered and very healthy and happy— and ready for his new home!

All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!
> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.
