Meet Annie! Sweet Annie has been loved by everyone who has had the pleasure of spending time with her, including the people who treated and cared for her in the South. She came to us with a shattered leg bone and had to have her back leg amputated. She is much happier and feels so much better without it! She loves to run around with all her doggie friends in her foster. Relaxing and hanging out with her people are her favorite activities. Though she is calm, Annie still likes to play and she certainly hasn’t let her lost leg hold her back! She does well with other dogs and loves people. Annie is waiting to find her perfect match!
If you would like more information on Annie, please contact Barrie at doubledogbarrie@comcast.net.
Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
VETTING NOTE: Double Dog Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.
HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
