Thank you to BBBR Foster Mom Abby for fostering him for the weekend. He is in foster at Emerald Street Kennels in Boise.
Abby says: Here are some photos of sweet Kaydo relaxing after his meals and walks. He has been a very easy house guest and curls up on the cuddly blankets in the bedroom crate for the night. He has been quiet and relaxed. Kaydo is very content just being in the same room as us. Such a pleasure.
We have had several visitors, and Kaydo is friendly and approachable with everyone he meets. We have not had any children, cats or other dogs around the house, so I cannot speak to how he would behave under those circumstances.
Kaydo seems to mirror my energy level, which is nice. When we go in the yard to play, he runs around a bit and plays with the rope toys. When we are relaxing or working inside, he lays down. When I exercise, he gets excited and actually tried to jump around when I was doing some cardio intervals one time. Really funny!!!! Then he found the yoga mat to lie on, which you see in a photo. Too cute.
Kaydo doesn't jump up on people, beg for food, or go on the sofa without being invited. He is truly a gentleman with good manners.
On the several neighborhood walks we've taken, Kaydo easily heels and is very manageable. We even walked by a group of 4 small dogs behind a fence who were barking and running up and down the fence length. Kaydo acknowledged them but just kept on walking. I didn't have to refocus or correct him.
I'm thrilled to report that I worked with Kaydo off lead in the fenced yard and he was 100% obedient. What a wonderful discovery! Heel, sit, stay, stay to come to sit. Wow! His down command needs a bit of work, but he definitely is starting to get it. He is also low energy and easy to handle, especially considering his large size. Such a good boy!! A+ for Kaydo!
