Sammy is a handsome tuxedo cat, about 5 years old. Even though he was a stray and only recently rescued, he makes himself immediately at home and is very friendly. He will sleep on your lap for as long as you let him. He will also enjoy your company and sit next you while you work or watch TV.
He is a dog-like cat and loves to get attention from people -- he will love to be petted by you and your friendly visitors. He will definitely benefit from having many people around him.

He isn’t into toys much but likes to use scratchers every now and then. He kneads when put on a blanket or cushiony cat bed, and it is absolutely adorable.
Sammy is a great companion for you if you want a cat who likes to sit on your lap or close by.

Sammy has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+), which is a cat-only disease that decreases the ability of the immune system to fight some infections. FIV+ is not easily passed between cats. It CANNOT be transmitted casually through shared litter boxes, water and food bowls, or when snuggling or playing. FIV is most commonly transmitted via deep bites during cat fights, the virus is present in the saliva of infected cats. With appropriate care and treatment of chronic conditions, most FIV+ cats live long, healthy and relatively symptom free lives.
