Meet Samson

Please read all info below before proceeding. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before filling out an application. While we don't charge a fee to submit an application we can understand why some rescues do. A lot of time is spent reviewing applications. Time that can be spent caring for the dogs. To do all that only to be told that you now aren't ready or have changed your mind is exhausting. Please read all info posted about the dogs and if we say the dogs needs a fenced yard and you don't have one please don't proceed. We also don't adopt out to home with INVISIBLE/SHOCK FENCING and can provide you some info if you would like to understand why we feel this way. Because these are rescued dogs we don't usually know who the parents are so breed listings are usually an educated guess. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE A LIFETIME COMMITMENT TO THIS PET. If you are interested in this dog please go to our website to fill out an application www.susieqdogresq.com. A vet reference and home visit are required. Please check our pet list to see more animals up for adoption.
Samson came in with his brother Levi. They were both pretty shut down from the way they were treated before coming to us. With time and patience they are slowly coming out of their shells... this is what Samson's foster Mom has to say about this handsome boy...;He's just such a sweet boy. He loves hanging out with his people, he likes lots of attention and love. Sam follows me around in the house-in the kitchen when I cook, on the couch when I watch TV, upstairs on the bed at night time. He just sits patiently waiting for pets, it's really cute. He also does well on walks, he's just kind of a slow casual walker. But when something startles him, he'll pull and dart and try to run away. He is also quite the chewer-if he gets a hold of something he does damage fast, so lots of chew toys and outdoor play time are a must with him".
He's making little strides every day with his confidence, I think he's going to be a work-in-progress for a while.. As long as his potential adopters have time and patience to work with him and keep building that, I think he's ready to find his forever family. I think he would do really great in a calm home without cats (or with cats that will just ignore him), and with a nice sweet, laid back dog companion for him... or he would be fine as an only dog... a fenced in yard is required for this boy. His adoption fee is $250.00
