READ MORE ABOUT BRODY

Brody is a gorgeous, 5 year old Labradoodle boy who, through no fault of his own, now needs a new "furever" home and family. Brody’s family fell on hard times and was unable to care for him any longer. Thankfully, they found their way to DRC and Brody moved to his foster home in Oxford, MI to get caught up on all of his vet care and enjoy lots of attention and exercise.

Brody is a very athletic, high energy boy who can play ball for hours! He does best with toys that are able to stand up to his desire to see what is inside them (Tennis balls and stuffy toys are soon shredded.) Brody had not lived with another dog for several years but is now doing fine after settling in and getting used to the routine of living with three doodle foster brothers. He still prefers playtime with his humans but does try to get the other doods to play ball with him (he brings the tossed ball back to them and drops it, as if to say “throw it!”) and enjoys a game of chase. Brody did live with cats in his former home but we have not witnessed this first-hand. Brody is very sweet and loving and eager to participate in whatever adventures you are enjoying; he is happy to settle in for some belly rubs or a nap after he gets his exercise.

Brody would prefer an adult only home as he can get a little too excited when trying to play ball. He is also hoping his forever family will be home most of the day as he is still quite ready to play throughout the day. He would love a large yard surrounded by a physical fence.

Brody is now current on all of his vet care. He has had chronic ear infections and will need to have his ears cleaned and the hair plucked regularly. Brody also spent many seasons with fleas and developed dermatitis and some hair loss on his hind quarter from his allergy to their bites. We are currently feeding him a limited ingredient diet (Wellness Simple) and an added Omega supplement to help with his dry skin. Brody has now been flea free since arriving in his foster home and we are happy to report his hair has grown in completely and his dry skin is gone!

Brody is neutered, micro-chipped, UTD on vaccines and preventatives and will be a wonderful addition to the right family.

You must be prepared for your dog to be an inside member of your family.
In most cases, a PHYSICAL FENCE IS REQUIRED in order to be considered for a DRC rescue doodle.

DRC Adoption donations typically range from: $300 - $600 and vary according to the age, health, temperament and location of each dog. Every doodle is an individual and every doodle has his/her own specific needs and requirements. Adopters are selected based on compatibility, NOT on a "first come, first serve basis. At no time does DRC ever put the desires of applicants before or above the needs and requirements of rescue doodles in our program.
