AVAILABLE 09-20-16 When he was just 2 months old, Thor went to live with his family. He grew pretty big and is now an active playful 1 year old. A little too active for the new baby, so he was brought to the Shelter. His family gave us the following information about Thor - he's housetrained, good with other dogs, knows basic commands, he likes cheese and swimming as well as car rides, leash walks, playing fetch with his toys and running with his owner. Thor currently shares his Shelter kennel with a young pup and they have a great time together. Since his arrival Thor has been vaccinated, tested negative for heart worms and has been neutered. He's definitely ready for a new FOREVER loving home. If you think you might have one to give him, please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and ask to meet Mr. Thor.

SPCA of NENC will adopt to approved applicants either North Carolina residents or non-residents. To adopt, please bring your current ID. If you rent, please bring the rental agreement that shows the pet clause and proof that the deposit was paid, or a letter from your landlord that you are allowed to have a pet. If you have other pets in your home, you MUST bring proof that they are up to date on their shots (Bordatella, Distemper/Parvo, and Rabies).It also helps if you bring your pet (dog) with you to see if he/she is compatible with the pet you are looking to adopt. Our adoption fees are as follows: Dogs - $90 Cats - $50 Adoption fees cover their first round of shots, not including Rabies, first month of flea and tick prevention and their first month of heartworm preventative (dogs). .PASQUOTANK COUNTY RESIDENTS: If you are adopting a dog and live outside Elizabeth City limits, you MUST purchase either a County dog license or a kennel tag (3 or more dogs) at time of adoption. Cost for a County Dog License is $10 per dog or a Kennel Tag is $20 for more than 3 dogs. Dog licenses are good for the life of your dog. Kennel Tags must be renewed each year (April) for $20. These can only be purchased from the SPCA. SPCA of NENC is located at 102 Enterprise Drive in Elizabeth City, NC.
