Candy Corgi & Dachshund Mix Grapevine, TX

Meet Candy, a four year old Corgi mix. Candy is a spry girl who may have a little snow on the roof (or the cellar), but she loves to walk and to play tug of war, when she is not snuggled up to you on the couch or the bed. She is a bit gravity challenged with her weight, but a regular diet of low calorie food with green bean supplementation is getting her back into summer shape. She wants to be near her people, but doesn't care much for other dogs. She likes to walk and walks very well, she is not the type to pull you down the street. Not sure how she would be with small children or cats, but we think she would be happiest as an only dog with adults who love to snuggle and give belly rubs and get kisses. She doesn't like stressful situations, but who does? Candy’s demonstrates typical Corgi traits – she likes to try to “herd” other animals, she is very loving and loyal with her people, and she is very protective and reserved until she gets to know you. About Canine Soulmates Rescue: Our adoption fee is $250, which includes having your dog fully vetted -- spay/neuter, vaccinations, rabies shot, heartworm testing and on monthly heartworm preventative. All dogs are microchipped, and CSR covers the cost of microchip registration for the first year. CSR adopts only to adopters in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. We require a home check for all of our adopters, and renters must have permission to add a dog to their lease agreement and have paid any necessary pet deposit. As a general rule, we do not adopt large breed dogs or puppies to apartment homes. Veterinary or personal references are checked.
