Meet Maraschino
Maraschino is a special girl! Did you know that female orange cats are somewhat rare? Here is the science behind it: for a female cat to be orange, she must inherit two orange genes — one from her mother (orange, calico, or tortoiseshell) and one from her father (who must be orange). How neat!
Maraschino is four years old and starting to come out of her shell in her foster home. She is a bit nervous about being approached directly but loves cheek scratches and pets. She likes to lounge up high on furniture (cat or human) and look out windows. She is a sweet and gentle cat and will surely thrive in a quiet home setting on her own or with another friendly cat.
