Meet Slater, a 1-2 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix who came to the shelter as a stray and was never claimed. This stunning steel blue boy turns heads wherever he goes. He is the life of the party and is full of exuberance and a zest for life. He is friendly and out going with everyone he meets. And he has been amiable with the dogs he has met so far at the shelter. He would probably do best with a confident and equally playful dog in his forever home. It is clear that Slater hasn't had much training and he is working on his manners with our dedicated volunteers. He would love to continue his training in a classroom setting with his new family. Because of his high energy and strength, he would probably do better in a home with older children as this goofball will bowl over the little ones.
