Schatzy Yellow Labrador Retriever & Retriever Mix Chicago, IL

This gorgeous gal is a young (10 month old) Lab mix who loves to play and her foster dad describes her as a bundle of energy! However despite her activity level, once she's had some fun she does mellow out. She'll do awesome in an active home that enjoys having a dog they can take hiking or on nice walks around the neighborhood.

Schatzy knows basic commands like sit and stay and is very food motivated.
Sometimes this gal can be possessive of food around other dogs, so she either needs a forever home without other dogs or one that is wiling to manage this behavior. This cutie is crate trained and housebroken. She is still working on her leash skills because when she sees other dogs or people she gets really excited and barks; this behavior has improved since joining her foster home and though she may always have some on leash reactions, she's a smart and social cookie.

This gal has previously gone to daycare twice a week to learn how to socialize with other dogs. She is super sweet with people and will be an awesome companion!
