“I wanna be loved by you, just you, and nobody else but you!” Howdy, I’m Waylon. Did you like my song? I’ve had enough practice perfecting it as I’ve been in this rescue for three years now. That’s right, I’ve been at Home Fur-Ever for three years since I was saved by one of the recuse volunteers and I’m STILL waiting. Although I came to the rescue with neck injuries, sores, and hair loss, I am a very happy and sweet little six-year-old Chihuahua that will make your day. I’m great with other dogs and house-trained to go outside but you gotta watch for my cues telling you that I need to do my thing. I love to go with my companion for car rides and just sniff the air. I just don’t know why I’ve been passed up at the adoption events. Week after week, I’ve been ignored as the little puppies come in and go right back out the door with their paperwork stamped “adopted”. It’s heartbreaking because I’m a good boy. “Do you wanna be loved by me because I wanna be loved by you…Boop-Boop-De-Boop!”

Please note that Home FurEver does not post applications on line. We will receive all applications in person at local adoption events in order to conduct an in-person interview. All members of the household should be present for the application and interview process. All applicants require a home inspection and vet check - Please note that we cannot drive more than an hour to do a home inspection. We do require a fenced back yard for all bully breeds. Some dogs may require households with children over a certain age.
Ask yourself some questions before you consider bringing a new dog home. 1. Am I ready for a LIFE LONG commitment? 2. Am I prepared for a rowdy puppy? 3. Am I prepared to potty train? 4. Is this the right breed for me or my family? 5. Can I afford the food and vet care for this dog? 6. Is it best to have a totally fenced yard? 7. Will I make a commitment to obedience training?
