I’m an 8 year old, 16 lb poodle mix, but my foster mom thinks I look like a fluffy teddy bear! I love going for long walks, I’m great with other dogs, I’m good in my crate, I am fully housebroken and love to play outside, and nothing beats a good treat! But, I don’t like cats. At all. No cats in a house for me! And something happened in my past that makes me very wary of new people. My perfect home has 1 or 2 people living in it that has experience with dogs that need a little time to warm up. I might not show my best side for the first few days, but in one week, I will be cuddling on your lap and rolling over for you. I can be a little protective of my food and my treats and your lap, and I’m learning in my foster home that “nothing in life is free.” My foster mom has guests come over from time to time, and when that happens she either gives me a kong filled with peanut butter to enjoy in my crate, or lets me out after telling the guests not to pet me.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
