Meet Draven
Draven's story is a sad one. She came to me with her newborn kittens and she was a great kitty mom. However, one kitten passed after birth. Then a few weeks later her other kittens began to get sick. They were all taken to the Vet and Draven tested positive for Felv (feline leukemia). Unfortunately only one of Draven's kittens survived the rest sucumbed to the virus. Draven took great care of her baby and he grew up strong and was adopted into his forever home.
However, Draven is still with me. She is a bit on the chunky side because she lives by herself because she can't live with other cats. She is very healthy and can live a long happy life if given the chance. She will need a good healthy diet and regular yearly Vet visits. She is very friendly and craves the attention from people. Just because Draven carries the virus does not mean she is not healthy, she is. The virus is a cat virus so it can not be passed to dogs or people. This virus mainly kills kittens because they do not have an immune system developed yet, which is why it is deadly to kittens.
Draven needs a home where she will be kept healthy, loved and a place to call her own.
Draven has a special adoption rate to find her a forever home.
If you are interested in Draven or have any questions please contact me through our hotline, ask for her foster mom Monica

UPDATE
Draven was abandoned by her adopter who felt she was a throwaway pet. So Draven is now back in our care and again awaiting for her forever home.
