Sweet and gentle Clifford is hound mix who is about eight years old. He can be cautious yet curious when he meets new people, but generally the tip of his tail wags in introductory anticipation. Clifford is from a hunting camp, where he was found living in unsanitary conditions with 12 other dogs. He enjoys the companionship of dogs in smaller groups; the doggy daycare and dog park seem to overwhelm him.

Despite his previous life, Cliff is housetrained. He also rides well in a car, has no guarding tendencies, and is not destructive when left alone. Clifford’s ideal home would be an adopter who has a house with a fenced in yard. Clifford would love a calm dog to live with that can help him get over his fears by giving him a good example about how to behave in certain situations. A quiet, loving, and patient home where he can blossom, grow, and trust is a must. He is a kind dog who is ready to unpack his bags for the last time and forge a bond with his lucky forever family.

Clifford is being fostered in a home with 3 cats, 2 other dogs, a rabbit and a small parrot, and he does well with all the animals. He is very respectful to all his new four-legged and feathered friends.

Clifford is very cautious when on a walk, and needs time to adjust to new situations, and almost everything is new to Clifford. With patience and kindness, he will adjust to new surroundings and situations.
