Thank you to BBBR Volunteers Brittany and Natalie for spending time with Stevie. Brittany snapped these great photo's. Brittany says: The only thing that would make Steve happier than a good toy to play with is a home to play with that toy in. This boy is a goof ball and a half. He has spent almost his entire life in a kennel and never got to chance to be a puppy so is always on the look out for a way to let some of that energy out.
If you are looking for a wonderful dog who loves to play, cuddle and nap- he's the guy for you. He loves other dogs and loves to be around people.

Thank you to BBBR Volunteer Susan for spending time with the rescue dogs at Good Citizen Dog and for exercising them. - We came across two cats on our walk and he didn't react at all. In fact he turned his head with the "I don't see you, you don't see me" attitude. It was almost as if the cats scared him a bit. Right after that we came across two little yapper dogs behind the chain link fence at their home. Again, Stevie had no reaction whatsoever.

BBBR Foster Parents Heather and Adrian fostered Stevie today and say:
I just wanted to send you an email on Stevie's day with us. We hung out in the backyard and he and our dog Huckleberry ran around and played, then found sunny spots to lay in when they were ready to rest. I am always surprised at how gently he takes treats despite being so excited for them to the point he can't sit still.

Steve got to have some play time in our yard. He was very busy sniffing all of the smells for quite some time. He appeared to be nervous/anxious about sounds in the neighborhood. Once he settled in, I played with him and he had a great time. His favorite was the frisbee. He rolled around with the rope too and looked totally adorable! We went inside to check out a kitty. The first round, Steve was very nervous of the cat and avoided him. The second round, Steve became more relaxed and did not have a nervous response, he just kept on his way exploring after looking at the cat. Steve has potential for a cat home. We practiced many waiting games and he picked up on them quickly. He's a sweet dog who needs someone to give him a home with boundaries, consistency, and lots of love!

BBBR Foster Dog Steve took a day out of boarding from Good Canine CitiZen and went to Boise State to go to class with some students going on a service trip for animal advocacy.
Steve had an amazing day getting into puppy trouble and soaking up all the love from students. Steve has not had the opportunity to be a puppy yet in his life so all of that puppy energy is in that big bully body of his.
Steve is hilarious to be around. You can't be around him without laughing at his weird antics. For instance, he managed to grab a pair of scissors off of a desk and chased someone around the office with them proudly in his mouth. Though momentarily terrifying, you can't help but laugh.
If you're looking for a dog that will always make your day and are willing to take the time to let this big boy have his puppy years- he will be the perfect dog for you! This guy has a lot of character and personality!
