Meet Ulysses
Meet Ulysses, a 5-year young Siberian Husky foster, who is available for adoption! When we got Ulysses, he was thin and had very loose stools. Fast forward 7 weeks - his stools are solid, and he's up 8 pounds (currently weighs 53 pounds).
Our foster home has him on the path to better health. We believe Ulysses has a condition called EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which means that he will need an enzyme powder sprinkled on his food ahead of each meal (about 30 minutes before he eats) to help him digest and absorb the nutrients.
Ulysses has some separation anxiety, but is currently working on that and getting better. With a little help and training, we think he can get over this anxiety and become the perfect dog.
Ulysses is very low-key and does not require as much exercise as most huskies - he's quite content to sleep by your feet all day but will certainly get up and go for a nice long walk with you if you'd like! He does extremely well with car rides, walks very well on the leash, gives tons of kisses, knows basic commands like sit, stay, leave it, off, etc., is house trained and sleeps in his crate at night.
Ulysses would do best in a home with someone who is retired, or works from home and is home most of the time. He's a HUGE lover of people! He does well with other dogs, as long as they aren't super energetic and constantly wanting to play.
