Meet Lori
Lori is about 5 years old and at one time there was no doubt, she was the most misunderstood cat at ARC. Sometimes she would act like she didn't like us, or want any attention, but when we weren't looking, Lori would peek around the corner to see if we wanted to play a game of tag with her. Other times the mere mention of her name would send Lori away grumbling, but when you caught up to her and called her bluff, she'd just lay down, roll over and expose her belly, wanting to be pet and proving that she's not so bad.
When Lori came to us, she was very thin and had skin issues and never knew kindness. She had to be a tough girl out on the streets to survive, so if you get too "kissy" with her, she feels like you're ruining her reputation, but that's okay because we know the truth.
Lori enjoys the other cats and dogs at the shelter and has turned into our greeter. This means you may not have to look very hard to find her and if you leave your car door open or window down, you may find this little sweetie ready for a car ride. Lori has come such a long way and is so very deserving of a forever home!
Cat Adoption Fees: $60 for Cats, $85 for Dogs
All our pets are spayed, neutered, and up-to-date on all shots. Our dogs have been tested and are presently on Heartworm prevention. The Animal Refuge Center has these and many more pets waiting for a good home. Note: The Animal Refuge Center has a "No-Declaw" policy. Our cats are too old to be declawed without risk of serious behavioral problems.
