Meet Dora

Dora is a sweet girl who is very curious about her surroundings, wanting to explore every inch. She appreciates having doors and cupboards opened so she can check out what is inside. Dora does an excellent security sweep of rooms, checking under and around everything. She also likes to keep an eye out under beds & in closets, so excellent for keeping scary monsters away! She loves to look at reflections in glass, and is happy sitting in front of the stove or other reflective surface, enjoying the show. Dora is quiet in the house, hardly ever barks. Loves a window seat and is happy spending long periods quietly studying what is going on outside. She doesn't shed much at all. Would probably do fine in apartment/condo setting.

Dora loves car rides & walks, exploring new places. Hiking trails, chasing waves are especially fun. Dora can wriggle out of a harness, so leash should be attached to both harness AND collar. She walks well on a leash, unless a squirrel or other excitement should cross her path, then she pulls (she finds many things exciting.) Dora has been to class, and knows sit, stay, down, and shake. She sits & stays for her meals to be put down. Her recall is getting better, and she would benefit from more training.

Dora has a high prey drive, especially cats, rabbits, and squirrels. Would probably chase motorcycles, fast/loud cars, and skateboards given a chance. She is strong and will climb trees and burrow in pursuit of prey, needs a secure fence that can't be dug under or isn't made of old wire that can be bent and broken. If you have moles, she is happy to take care of that problem.

Dora seems to get along with most other dogs, but not all, so should meet and greet any other dogs she may be living with. She got along fine with an older child, but does play nip.

Up to date on shots, last flea treatment July 27th, last bath & nail trim July 2nd
