Oh helloo... You must be looking for- oh me?! My very own family?! I must be the luckiest pup in the world!

I’m Rod and I’m a very sweet and gentle fellow just trying to figure out my way in this big, confusing world. When I first came to CAAWS, I was very timid and reserved and preferred to be on my own. However, everyone was so nice and I quickly learned that I could trust them. Now, I just love all of my human friends! In order to make sure I don’t ever lose sight of them, I like to follow them around wherever they go. I’ll even politely prop myself up on their legs and look deep into their eyes with my cutest puppy face to get them to pick me up and snuggle with me or let me curl up for a nap on their laps! I also love playing with my toys, especially the squeaky ones! However, my favorite thing of all is getting and giving hugs and kisses! I’ve heard from some of the other pups that there’s a place where we get our very own families and our very own laps to snuggle into! So, would you be mine?





Adoption Information: Our dog and cat adoptions are held every Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm at our building, located at 6357 Quinn Dr in Baton Rouge, LA, near the Old Jefferson and Tiger Bend intersection. Cat adoptions are held every alternate Saturday at Petsmart on Airline and we also hold special adoption events throughout the Baton Rouge area. The adoption fee for our animals is $100 and covers all vetting, shots, vaccinations, tests, and neuter/spays.
